Weekly Fall Favorites

Maple Pecan Latte – Starbucks & Dunkin

I’m a pumpkin spice girl during this time of year, don’t get me wrong. It’s just, the flavors of Fall are calling and they want me to try! One of those flavors is the Maple Pecan Latte from Starbs. This speciality latte is flavored with a sauce rather than a syrup and is sweet but not overpowering! The drink has a strong maple taste but gets balanced with the notes of pecans. I’ve only tried this iced at Starbucks so I can’t vouch whether or not the hot version is just as great. Pick one up for yourself and let me know how it is!

Ole Henriksen Wonderfeel Double Cleanser

I’ve always neglected my skin in the past and haven’t paid much attention to newer skin care products. Up until recently, I never knew there was a need for it! I just assumed my face was as good as it was gonna get and there wasn’t a thing I could do about what I didn’t like.

“But first, skin care”

I was never extremely unfortunate with my skin though. I’ve considerably been very lucky! Rather than struggling with acne or blemishes I’d regularly experience dryness, occasional blackheads, and redness. Nothing a little foundation and concealer couldn’t fix right? Wrong. I’ve come to the conclusion now that there are so many great products out in the world geared towards my specific problem areas. Things I never knew existed!

One of those products (and my personal favorite) is this Ole Henriksen Wonderfeel Double Cleanser. This little guy is made for removing make up, hydration, and of course cleansing. An added bonus, it’s great for people with sensitive skin – the texture is light weight and creamy which makes it perfect for massaging into the cheeks, chin, neck, and under eyes.

I use it both in the morning when I’m getting ready to put make up on my face and at night when I’m preparing to take it off. It leaves me feeling refreshed every time no matter what. It’s becoming quite the necessity in my daily routine.

Biking

“When in doubt, pedal it out”

Going to the gym everyday has been a habit of mine lately. I’m super committed to changing my lifestyle drastically and the gym is the way I’ve been doing that. Specifically, with cardio. Typically, you can find me on the treadmill or elliptical and occasionally using the weight machines (I’m still new at this so bear with me). But recently I’ve been loving the bike! I’ve been doing 20 minute workouts with intervals. Meaning I’ll go hardcore on a high level for 5 minutes and switch back to a lower level up until my time is up. It keeps my heart rate going and acts as a game I try to beat! Feels like I’m at my own soul cycle in a way! Lol.

So what are your Fall favorites this week?! Let me know in the comments!

Starbucks Combos You’ve Never Heard Of

Have you ever accidentally came across a Starbucks drink that wasn’t on the menu? Ever heard of that “secret menu” people talk about? Have you ever tried creating your own? I have!

In today’s blog post, I wanted to share with you all my favorite drinks that are NOT on the menu at Starbucks. A majority of what I usually order always has something extra. Whether that’s substituting for a healthier option or adding my own ingredients, I choose it my way! Sometimes, the things I come up with taste pretty decent! Here are the best ones!

Purple Dream

The purple dream consists of a creamy soy milk base combined with the Very Berry Refresher. A sweet and subtle fruit taste mixed with vanilla is exactly what you can expect out of this drink! This was actually ordered by accident when the Pink Drink got popular! My local Starbucks was out of the Acai Refesher and out of coconut milk so I substituted the recipe with different ingredients. It made for one new tasty beverage!

Strawberry Crunch

If you’re going to splurge try for the strawberry crunch frappuccino! This drink is very simple! Order a Strawberries and Cream frapp with java chips. That’s it! The java chunks give the drink a savory flavor and tones down the overall sweetness of the beverage. Almost tastes like a chocolate covered strawberry!

Minty Madness

One of my absolute favorite things to order off the menu is the Iced Green Tea Latte. But to me, it will often taste bland and very filling. Throw 2 pumps of peppermint syrup in there and substitute the whole milk for non-fat. The minty flavor of the syrup compliments the matcha powder well! It’s a light, energy boosting, and refreshing flavor for a hot day!

Icy White Chocolate Raspberry

Another sweet drink great for a Spring day! Order an Iced White Chocolate Mocha with 2 pumps of raspberry (for a grande size). This option tastes awesome as a frappuccino too. If you go that route, add whipped cream with some mocha drizzle! So yummy!

Keep in mind guys, these are totally my own creations. They’re not options the staff will know if you give them the name, so follow my instructions above in order to truly get what you want! Most of these are simple and not very difficult to order. So, I hope your barista doesn’t go through too much trouble making them!

Anyways, I’d like to know what concoctions all of you can come up with! Are there any must-try drinks I need to know about? Leave them in a comment below or tell me on my other social platforms! Looking forward to giving them a shot!
